Learn About New Zealand - Differentiated handouts and slideshow (3 levels)
This is the first in an upcoming collection to help students learn about New Zealand. It includes differentiated student handouts and a slideshow, so you can choose how you deliver information and activities to students. This resource focuses on key facts, including:
- The name 'Aotearoa'
- New Zealand's flags (yes, multiple flags)
- Official languages
- New Zealand symbols
- Main cities (and plotting these on a map)
- The national bird.
This resources is differentiated to cater to three levels of learner - beginner (though not an 'absolute' beginner), intermediate and advanced. Differentiation is achieved through vocabulary, phrasing and sentence structures, as well as activities (easier for beginners who already have enough to cope with language-wise). This should helps teachers who cope with multiple levels all in one class!
Suitable for students already in New Zealand or for those still in their home countries who are preparing to move to New Zealand for study there.
