Student profile for EL class

Student Profile - EL Students

$5.00Price

Get to know your students with this student profile, designed to foster the pastoral care of your students as well as helping you get to know each other.  It relies heavily on graphics to show students what they must do and introduces students to basic te reo Māori terms.  As well as EL students, this would also be suitable for strugglers or younger students.

A version of this resource is available for your mainstream students here.

This resource includes:

⭐ A student profile booklet - 13 pages.

You and your students will enjoy:

❤️ Plenty of graphics to help students know what information to provide.

❤️ A teacher page.  Complete your page before sharing/printing for students so they can get to know you too.

❤️ A wide range of information that students can share - from fun favourites, to goal-setting.

❤️ An opportunity to learn key words in te reo Māori.

❤️ 2 small speaking activities to help students get to know each other, and to help you guage their oral skills.

❤️ 2 small writing activities to help you guage writing ability.

❤️ 2 good old 'Find someone who...' games to play at the end - one easy, one hard.

❤️ 1 reverse game of 'Find someone who...'

❤️ The messages page - students can write wee notes to you when they want to tell or ask you something privately, or to let you know they've updated a page in their document.

❤️ Using this booklet as an ongoing record of the year and way of communicating.  (I encourage you to keep this as a living document.  So often we just pop them in a cupboard and never see them again.)

  • Sharing/Copying this Resource

Feel free to purchase just one for your department - no need for a copy for each teacher.  However:

    • Please do NOT share with the school down the road.
    • Please do NOT take it with you to a new school.
    • Feel free to suggest the website to others - that'd be great!

That's pretty fair I think!  Let's help each other out.  :)
