1.4 Unfamiliar Texts

1.4 Unfamiliar Texts - Part 2 - Working Together (For MERIT)

$20.00Price

This is the second in a the series of three resources scaffolding students through NCEA English 1.4 Unfamiliar Texts.  It focuses on building students' skills to write about how aspects of the text work together.

This resource uses the same texts as part 1 in the series, however if you have not used part 1 this won't really be a problem.

Ten texts are divided between 7 parts of this resource, with each part requiring students to practice a new skill.

I strongly recommend you print the student booklet rather than getting them to work on a digital copy.  It's so much easier for students to work this way, especially when they're annotating.  For this reason (to force your hand somewhat), I have not included a flat-packed copy of their workbook (which prevents them accidentally deleting bits).  If, however, a few people request this, I'll add it.

Feel free to purchase just one for your department - no need for a copy for each teacher.  However:

    • Please do NOT share with the school down the road.
    • Please do NOT take it with you to a new school.
    • Feel free to suggest the website to others - that'd be great!

That's pretty fair I think!  Let's help each other out.  :)
