Help students to understand the idea of crafting their writing. Encourage them to see they have tools to hand, just as a master carver does. Get them to see that it's not just about getting the words down and handing it in - it's about working, reworking, standing back, see how it 'looks and sounds', reworking again. This poster uses the metaphor of the master carver to show them this.
