US 22750 - V6 - EAP L4 - Write Crafted Text Using Researched Material

This fully editable workbook is designed to scaffold students through Unit Standard 22750 - Write a crafted text using researched material in English for an academic purpose - version 6.  Students are guided through requirements, writing skills and research skills.  They write their own research question, compile notes on a Google Sheet, then write a report to answer their question.  They are encouraged to research an aspect of climate change to keep with the theme of our level 4 suite.
 
PLEASE NOTE, if you are using our resources to complete the suite of three EAP standards for students' UE literacy, note that we deliberately use the same texts across all three. This means, you should have students complete the standards in this order:
Unit Standard 22751 (Do this first because texts must be unseen for this standard.), then
Unit Standard 22750 (This one.  Use of our texts is optional here.), and finally
Unit Standard 22749 (Students should be familiar with the texts for this).
(Easy to remember - reverse numerical order. )
 
This resource includes:
⭐ A coversheet to attach to students' completed scripts.  This is to help you with marking and moderation.  
⭐ A student booklet outlining instructions and providing reference and learning with writing and skills.  
⭐ A link to a Google Sheet which has been preformatted to help students log and take notes about each of their sources and to develop their ideas (think critically) about the information they find.  Please note, you must make a copy of this sheet in order to edit it.
⭐ Print-friendly versions of three texts that are linked in the student workbook.
