Blending quotations into your sentence

Blending quotations into your sentence

Sick of quotations from texts just plonked into essays so that they don't flow with your students' work?  This is an editable PowerPoint document containing 6 key rules when including quotations in your work.  Also included are mid-point activities, and a final activity where students practice their new skills with quotations from their own texts.  Distribute this document electronically, or put up on your class screen.  The final activity will need to be given to students through electronic distribution or printed handout.  Put your tissues away as you experience the joy of fluent writing (well, okay, there might be a few other hair-pulling aspects, but hopefully poorly embedded quotations won't be one of them!)

  • Sharing/Copying this Resource

A lot of work went into this.  I’d prefer you kept this resource to yourself.  I’m happy for you to share larger products (like the Achievement Standard and Unit Standard tasks) with others in your department, but this is just a wee price.  Buy your own, and let others buy theirs.  Cheers!  😊
